Adopt a Rainforest

The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization working at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests to make responsible business the new normal. We are an alliance of companies, farmers, foresters, communities, and consumers committed to creating a world where people and nature thrive in harmony. In 1989, Led by founder Daniel Katz, a group of volunteers convenes a major conference on the crisis—and from this event, the Rainforest Alliance is born. We launch our sustainable forestry program to conserve biodiversity and provide economic incentives to businesses that practice responsible forestry. In 1993, We help establish the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which today is the world’s most rigorous forestry accreditation body, considered the “gold standard” of sustainable forest management.
